Easy to learn, fun to play
I got this for my husband for Father's Day at his request. I am not usually a fan of the games he requests but this one was fun to play and easy to learn. It does require some score keeping (which is something that turns me off of games- but something my husband does enjoy) but it isn't too complicated. It is a game that I would enjoy playing again.

Good Wholesome Fun
Such a good game. A nice low brain power game that allows you to still have conversation while staying competitive. And the build quality of this version is just awesome. Well worth the extra money.

Lovely art and components, fairly easy to learn and teach, nice solo options
I've really been enjoying this one so far. The theme is fun and the components and art do a great job of bringing this little world to life. Rules are pretty easy to learn from the book, or find a video online, and once you know the game it can be taught fairly easily. There is a lot of movement and fiddling with components during the game (moving tiles, refilling gems, etc.) but it's easy to manage and fun to see what new stuff comes out. Some of the colors are a bit similar, but we haven't really had a problem with this as long as lighting is decent. Scoring for the game is a little confusing at first, but not too complicated. I also love the variety of solo opponents you can play with, each with varying rules and complexity for more variety.I think one of my only minor complaints is that the little gauge on the side to track your gems and eventually trigger the end of the game is kind of hard to see and it's easy to forget to update it. It's always nice to plan ahead for the last few turns and having the end surprise you isn't as fun. I try to get around this by having folks announce their gem total after each turn.Overall, this is a great, light little game with a fen theme and nice components. Looking forward to playing this with more folks and would happily recommend this one.

Great game even for younger players
This is a fantasticly designed game and the deluxe edition is very much worth it. The mechanics are easy to teach yet the game has enough strategy for even the most seasoned player. The build quality is amazing this a game designed to be played often and last for years.
