Emergency use only.
To anyone who uses this product, I highly recommend reading up on literature surrounding Chlorothalonil and its environmental contamination in several states. It also breaks down into hydroxy-2,5,6-trichloro-1,3-dicyanobenzene (SDS-3701), which is 30 times more toxic than the original molecule but isn't mentioned anywhere on the packaging of this product. Before using this product, always wear full cover eye protection, this product can potentially blind you. I bought a pair of laboratory goggles just for this, another fungicide. It loses marks on Easy to Use because it requires extra equipment to use relatively safely. Scent gets five stars because I didn't get engulfed in volatile vapors, I can't be any more specific because I don't usually go around sniffing agricultural chemicals. The texture of the product is that of white paint. That said, its a very good product if you need to save your favorite plants. I recommend using it as a root and soil drench. I have used it to save my Rosemary tree with great success but that tree is now an ornamental and I do not collect leaves from it anymore. I also apply it to rot prone Opuntia cactus, bunny ears, etc, and it does the trick. This should be treated as a nuclear option and last resort product.

Good choice
I have paeonies that I have been struggling to keep alive for the third year now due to black leaf spot . I have always had good result with Ortho products for other purposes and had just found this particular Ortho product this year and decided to give Ortho a go. It has not eliminated the disease which I find very disappointing however it has contained it better and the plants look far healthier than with any other product I have tried so 4 stars not 5 . If you have an Ortho sprayer then application is very easy just dial o setting hook to hose and your all good to go

Best I’ve Tried
I have a blight problem every year on my tomatoes as well as other things occasionally on other vegetables.I have tried many things but all fail to even touch my blight problemI have found if I apply this before the problem occurs it doesn’t totally stop it but with additional applications it controls this so I have tomatoes until frost instead of blight killing the plants by September. It also has worked with problems on other plants. It’s the best all around disease control I have found in 40+ years of gardening

Best for controlling early and late blight
Excellent product! A couple of years ago we lost our entire tomato garden to early blight, then the following year we were touched by late blight. As recommended we bought Ortho Max and now we spray at the very first site of blight. Haven't had any issues since we began using it! Highly recommend!

I liked the old formula better.
This seems to be working but I have not used it enough to confirm. I will know next spring/ summer how effective it is. I like that the odor is not as pungent as the old formula. The old formula was very strong and needed to be mixed outdoors or the odor lingered in the garage. This formula can be mixed in the garage with no lingering odor but I do not like the white color. My roses look like they have white bird poop on them after spraying. I may try spraying the base only to avoid the white residue on the leaves. Time will tell if it is effective for the powdery mildew, black spot and rust that my roses have.
