Q: Really love the fruit but wondering if the fruit is washed before drying to remove pesticides off of the plums, apricots, peaches...?

Yes, all our fruit is washed before it’s packed. Also, the fruit is not peeled, but many of our fruits are halves. Thank you.

Q: Does it come with the seed?

I HAVE NOT ORDERED THIS, BUT DATES COMES WITH THE PIT.

Q: What is the difference between these and other prunes?

Dried plums are prunes. Prune is the name for dried plums. So by saying dried plums they are just trying to remove the nasty connotations many people have for the name prune.

Q: Why do you add sulfur dioxide? That ruins it as a healthy option.

as far as I know the added sulfer dioxide preserves freshness & keeps the fruit from drying up into brown stiff items. I have eaten dried fruit for years & have never suffered any ill effects..yes..agree it is less healthy. Maybe you can buy locally at the actual place where fruit is picked. we can do that where I live.
