Sony Z9R Wireless Speaker for Z9F Sound bar (SA-Z9R)

These really do ramp up the surround sound for my new Z9F. When I got a new Sony 950H TV from Best Buy, I snagged a great promotional deal on the Z9F sound bar. I like LOUDNESS when I watch TV and videos, so I bought these rear speakers from Amazon to help out and compliment the Z9F.I was honestly expecting to get more volume out these guys. I've tweaked all the settings. No complaints, just expected more. Ive invested more than I wanted to get the audio as good as the video for this killer TV, but welcome to Sony, right? These are very good when listening to music and you sit right in the "sweet spot". I'm very satisfied, just not blown away like I thought I would be after reading other reviews. These are pricey, but Sony always is.

I was the guy with the huge Sony amplifier and miles of speaker wire running to 5 speakers not anymore.Surround sound speakers (a must) arrived 2 days ago plugged them in and that was that.The Z9R arrived today opened the box plugged in the woofer plugged the soundbar in hooked up the HDMI cable to the soundbar and turned it on and watched John Wicks 2 cause it's the only DVD i have that has Dolby Atmos the sound is fantastic.Barely glanced at the instructions.Movie was great the sound was amazing.To be quite honest i spent more time unpacking it than getting it operational..Very impressed...I Really like the remote control you can volume up or volume down the rear speakers and the woofer

work good still not the top of the line I don't think there's been any updates and it might have signal compatibility issues with Wi-Fi with the frequency

I should have bought these with the sound bar. It is really essential if you are going to splurge on the sound bar to buy these speakers. It was like I was missing half of the audio experience prior. It does seem like a lot of money for 2 speakers but I am glad I bought these. Also, I just plugged these in and they started working immediately. The only adjustment I needed to do was on the distance setting. I have no negative comments on the shipping or packaging.

I use it to play video games and watch movies in my game room. They were extremely easy to set up, and work great for everything I need them for. Only thing I wish is that you could raise their volume even more. There are some times when I feel the rear speakers are too soft compared to the bar and the sub, even when I raise the rear speaker level all the way. But I would still recommend them as it really does add the surround element to movies when you hear noises on your left and right side.

I love these as an add-on, spendy that it is, for the Z9F sound bar that I recently purchased (and reviewed separately). These are a nice addition to that sound bar, though they share a common concern (for me) with that sound bar and that is the requirement to use on screen (through the TV) setup process in order to complete the setup and/or change options (such as output level) with these speakers.I would also note for those that wonder and didn't see stated elsewhere that while these are wireless in their connection to the sound bar they are not completely wireless as both speakers need to be plugged into the wall for electrical service. A competitors product has a similar issue though in a different way as that product used a single remote receiver that requires the electrical connection and then uses traditional speaker cabling to connect to the rear speakers. These devices (set of wireless speakers) don't require the speaker wire at all as they do connect wirelessly to the sound bar once they are powered up.Setup was simple enough but does require the use of the TV's video in order to see the choices and choose your options and settings. That was not a requirement in the competing product as setup for that product was done through the sound bar itself and the settings could be and were confirmed through the LCD display on that particular sound bar.Sound quality with these wireless rear speakers is good and it really does enhance the experience having the rear speakers to flesh out the surround sound within the home.These are not an inexpensive upgrade and I'd rather see these at a lower out of pocket level, but as someone that likes to enjoy the home theater experience and wants to make that experience more like the experience in the arena, stadium, or theater, well, these are as nice upgrade.I would rate these higher if not for the price point and the required TV video setup. Definitely would recommend these as a upgrade option to pair with the Z9F sound bar.

Bought the Soundbar and Sub about two years ago. Tweaking the settings a bit you can get amazing sound with just those two components. Adding these rear speakers definitely is worth it although a little expensive. Double Digital Plus 5.1 Audio and DTS movie soundtracks sound amazing and add an even more immersive experience. Haven't had any speaker disconnecting issues stated in previous reviews. Great minimalistic sound system overall.

Excellent addition to my Sony sound bar. Surround effect is superb. It is a relatively inexpensive addition to the sound bar and a perfect wireless solution. I have mounted the speakers high on the wall and have used separately ordered wall mounts from Amazon.....these can be tilted down, which is how I have placed the speakers for more enveloping sound effect. I have also later on added the more expensive Audioquest Cinnamon HDMI cable to connect the sound bar to my Sony OLED TV.....all of these are a fantastic package.
