The best switch controller I ever used
Up until last night, I only used a PowerA enhanced controller. I heard everyone talking about this controller and I tried it. There is no going back. Back buttons, hall sensing joysticks, a charging dock, even being mobile and pc compatible. The price may be steep but it is 99 percent worth it. A PowerA enhanced controller is a good alternative but this game is perfect. A Sharp d pad for games like River City Girls and a two sided trigger for games like Metroid prime. Just buy this controller even if you don’t have a switch you should get it

Best Controller For Nintendo Switch Period
Just bought a new OLED Switch mainly for playing on the TV (my son already owned a Switch Lite) and all I can say is WOW! Been gaming for decades and I have to say, this has got to be the absolute best controller I have ever bought so far. You can tell the first time you touch it it's amazing and super high quality. Had no problem connecting to my Switch, I did enable the pro controller wired communication in the Switch settings first as a commenter suggested, don't know if that made a difference or not. It connected no problem first time. I've only played with it one night and so far no connection issues. The charging base and built in batteries mean no fiddling with changing power cells, just pick up the controller and play, put it back on the charger when done. Seemed a bit pricey at first but this really is a case (and it pains me to say it) of "You get what you pay for" which isn't always true. If you own a Switch and are looking for a good wireless game pad I would say this IS the controller. Folks say it's better then the Licensed Pro Controller which I haven't handled, but I can't see anything being better than this 8Bitdo at least in the case of the Switch. Best part, it is both Bluetooth AND 2.4Ghz Wireless (coming with a dongle for 2.4Ghz) via a switch on the backside of the controller making is great for PC as well. Motion controls feel the same as those on the Joycons. Got the white one to match my Switch, my setup looks amazing with the Switch in the cradle and the controller next to it on the charging stand. This was a great purchase.

Great Controller, White color can get a little dirty
I have always been a fan of 8-Bitdo and their controllers. This one is one of the best ones that I have used as of late. It works wonderfully with the Nintendo Switch, with only a few issues connecting in the years that I have had it. I like the fact that it has a charging base that also houses the dongle for connecting on more devices. The holding start and shaking to wake the switch is a lovely feature. My only complaint is with the grippy texture on the back of the controller, the white one. Is that it can get a little dirty and is harder to clean with that texture. Otherwise no drift, connects wonderfully, and has always been reliable.

Definitely 8Bitdo's best controller yet
I had to know more about this new product after seeing a surge in video reviews praising it, even if I wasn't actively looking for another new controller to collect. For someone with specific goals in mind for what I want out of a new controller, I had hoped this would fulfill those needs.Pros:+ The D-pad is excellent, especially for games like Tetris that require more precise directions. Get this controller and your days of suffering with accidental up-inputs will be over. It still has a tad bit of sensitivity since it's still a conductive D-pad, but I was immediately able to overcome it after a few minutes.+ The size of the controller is about the same as an Xbox controller, so it's very comfortable to hold. No weird angles for the grips or anything (something I started to notice with controllers like the SN30 Pro+).+ All buttons feel solid and responsive, which you would hope would be the case if this is supposed to be the "ultimate" controller so nice to know it's true.+ The charge dock, assuming of course you have a nice spot for it, is just wonderful. Unreal that this is just part of the deal when buying this controller.Cons:- Analog triggers are just a tad stiff, requiring more pressure than I would want out of a controller to depress. Long gaming sessions with this controller that use the triggers a lot (Splatoon, FPS shooters, etc.) might result in some tired fingers.- The position of the extra buttons on the back are positioned perfectly for people with semi-large hands like mine to press accidentally from simply gripping the controller a bit too aggressively during tense gaming moments. If they were moved just ever slightly more into the middle, my fingertips wouldn't be simply resting on top of them and risk activations. Since these aren't mandatory buttons this won't be an issue for most people, but it does reduce my motivation to consider using them.- The grip texture is indeed very grippy, but perhaps a bit too rough for my liking. I don't see myself dropping this controller anytime soon thanks to the texture, but now it just feels uncomfortable when I inevitably make minor shifts in my grip.Middle ground:· The motion controls are fine, but somehow weirdly sluggish compared to Nintendo's products. Made for some awkward test games of Splatoon, though I don't think it'll be something that one can't overcome eventually with some tweaking of settings. If you're in need of a new controller for your Switch, this is possibly the best one you could buy right now and thoroughly enjoy using it. If you're looking for something specifically for PC, this is also an excellent option but I personally might still prefer just using my Xbox controller; the customization with the 8Bitdo software can definitely sway one towards the Ultimate controller however, since being able to dial in your preferences is nice. If you need one for both, this is an easy pickup. The 8Bitdo Ultimate may not be perfect, but it's still something I would rank highly.
